Born and raised a Southern girl, I am a Christian and blessed to be married to my high school sweetheart. We have 2 daughters, 2 sons, 2 dogs and 2 cats. We built our family through birth and by way of adoption. And yes my house is full and so is my heart!
But enough about me, let’s talk about you. My favorite thing to do is encourage ladies around me to live their best life by finding positive and uplifting things to focus on, giving tips on things that have worked for our family, and sharing new things I find along the way. If that sounds like something you like too or something you need in your life, why don’t you stick around a while? I’d love to show you how to make Everyday Beautiful!

💅 Summer-to-Fall Nail Tips You Can Try Now
Published 20 days ago • 5 min read • What about...?
What about........ Wednesday!
(again on a Friday, Oops!)
We've come to that in between season- summer isn't quite over but we are starting to see fall everywhere. In stores, in commercials, and has the pumpkin spice arrived at Starbucks yet?
We are starting to see it in clothes, hair, makeup and yes, even nail colors.
Instead of jumping from bright summer colors to dark fall shades, why not try some in between colors that help you make that transition from summer to fall:
Dusty Rose
Mauve
Sage
Terracotta
Caramel
Creamy off white
💅 Before You Pick Your Fall Color…
It’s easy to focus on what color we want to put on our nails, but the best-looking manicure starts with taking care of what's underneath it.
Summer can be hard on our hands and nails. Between sun, water, swimming, frequent hand washing, and all the things we do outside, our nails and cuticles can end the season feeling a little dry and neglected.
Before you reach for that pretty fall polish, give your nails a little TLC:
Pay attention to dry cuticles. If they're looking rough or peeling, resist the urge to pick at them. A little regular moisture can go a long way toward keeping them soft and healthy-looking.
Give brittle or peeling nails some attention. If your nails have been breaking or peeling more than usual, this might be a good time to focus on nail care rather than just covering them up with polish.
Moisturize your nails, too. We remember to put lotion on our hands, but our nails and cuticles need moisture as well. Making it part of your daily routine can be an easy little habit.
Give your nails some TLC between manicures. You don't have to wait until your next manicure to take care of them. A few minutes of attention here and there at home can help keep them looking their best.
File those little snags instead of picking. I know... easier said than done! 😂 But gently filing a rough edge is much kinder to your nails than biting, tearing, or picking at it.
Now that we've given the nails underneath a little attention, let's talk about making that summer-to-fall transition a little easier...
Four Easy Tips for Your Summer-to-Fall Nail Transition
💅 Tip #1: Ease into fall with your color
You don't have to jump straight from bright summer colors to deep, dark fall shades. Try a transition color like those listed above that feels like a little bit of both seasons.
These colors can give you that fall feeling while still looking right for the last days of summer. And if you're doing your own nails, this is a fun time to try something different without committing to a dramatic new look.
💧 Tip #2: Give your nails and cuticles some moisture
If your nails are feeling dry, brittle, or your cuticles are looking a little rough after a summer of swimming, sun, and lots of hand washing, now is a good time to give them some attention.
Think of your nails and cuticles the same way you think about the rest of your skin—they need moisture, too. A few minutes of care between manicures can make a noticeable difference in how your hands look and feel.
Hand soap: Start with a gentle cleanse to wash away the day's dirt and grime.
Salt Scrub: Give your hands a gentle exfoliation to help smooth away dry, rough skin. You can spend a little extra time around your fingers and knuckles.
Shea Butter: Finish with a rich moisturizer to leave your hands feeling soft and cared for.
And if all three are in the same scent, even better. Suddenly washing your hands feels a little more like a spa treatment. 😊
(If you have a little extra time, start with a warm Dead Sea Salt soak before your scrub. It's a simple way to turn a few minutes of hand care into a real little spa moment. See Link for recipe below)
✨ Tip #4: Take care of the little things between manicures
A beautiful manicure can only do so much if we're constantly picking at chipped polish, tearing hangnails, or ignoring a rough edge.
Keep a nail file handy and gently smooth out snags rather than biting or pulling at them. Keep your cuticles moisturized, and if your nails are feeling particularly dry or brittle, give them a little break from polish and focus on caring for them.
The goal isn't perfect nails. It's cared-for nails.
💙 Myra's Pick of The Week
For my favorite this week, I would choose the essential collection bundle, also known as the "at home hand spa."
I still remember the first time I tried our hand spa at a get together with some friends. I remember thinking it was so easy to do and it made my hands feel incredibly soft. I couldn't believe this was something I could do at home. 😊
Dead Sea Salts are also great for hands and nails

Maybe:
Give yourself a simple at-home manicure.
Massage a little nail serum into your nails and cuticles each day.
Give your hands a mini spa treatment with a salt soak, scrub, and moisturizer.
Choose a summer-to-fall nail color for your next manicure.
Take a break from polish for a few days and focus on moisturizing your nails and cuticles.

When I get together with a group, one of my favorite things to do is let everyone try our little hand spa—cleanse, exfoliate, moisturize, and enjoy some time together.
I'd love to do more of these in September! If your local and you'd like to get a few friends together and have me bring the hand spa to you, just hit reply and let me know. And if you'd rather try a foot spa, we can do that too! 🦶💕
Nothing fancy—just a few friends, some fun products, and a little time to pamper yourself. ❤️

Friday, September 11th, 2026 25 Years. A somber anniversary. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the anniversary of this terrible day in our American history. I still remember where I was when I heard the news. Do you? I also remember the emotions I felt that day and the days that followed. We can "Never Forget" what happened that day, the lives lost, and the families left behind who are our fellow Americans. I'm praying for those families today and for our nation as we remember this sad...
