What About... A Cozy Evening? πŸ‚

What about...... Wednesday!

A Cozy Evening Doesn't Have to Be a Perfect Evening πŸ‚

Have you ever had one of those evenings when you had a whole list of things you planned to accomplish, but life had other ideas?

I had one of those evenings recently!

I had things I needed to get done. But instead, I spent some wonderful time with my family, especially my oldest son and a few of his friends.

And you know what? I wouldn't trade that time for a checked-off to-do list. πŸ’œ

I've been thinking about ways to add a little cozy to our everyday lives, and I think sometimes we make that harder than it needs to be.

A cozy evening doesn't have to mean a perfectly clean house, candles glowing in every room, or hours of uninterrupted relaxation. (although in a perfect world, that would be nice πŸ˜‰)

Sometimes cozy looks like snuggling under a blanket with your family while watching football. Sometimes it's reading a few pages of a good book, enjoying a favorite scent, or sharing the couch with a furry friend.

And sometimes it's simply having a few minutes when nobody needs anything from you! 🀭

πŸ‚ A Few Ways to Make an Ordinary Evening Feel Cozier

Enjoy a little connection. Put aside the to-do list for a little while and spend time with someone you love.

Make yourself comfortable. Grab a soft blanket, turn on a favorite show, or enjoy a little quiet.

Give your mind a break. Read a few pages, listen to music, or jot down tomorrow's priorities so you don't have to keep thinking about them. (tomorrow's you will thank you for being prepared! 😊)

The important thing isn't what your evening looks like. It's finding a little comfort in the evening you actually have.

πŸ’œ Myra's Pick: A Little Comfort for Tired Feet

One little treat I sometimes enjoy after a busy day is a warm foot soak with Jordan Essentials Dead Sea Salts.

I've been using the Helio variety since having foot surgery a couple of years ago. Sometimes it's just nice to sit down, soak my feet, and enjoy a few quiet minutes!

You don't need a fancy spa or even a full bathtub. Just add 3–4 tablespoons of Dead Sea Salts to a basin of warm water. Use comfortably warm water, not hot, and follow the product directions. You can even sit on the couch while you soak.

If you're looking for a relaxing evening soak, you might enjoy Copa Calm, with its blend of lavender, chamomile, sweet orange, and other essential oils.

Or choose Unscented to enjoy it as is or add your personal favorite essential oil. One of my customers who loved our former Uplift variety now adds Frankincense essential oil to her Unscented salts for a personalized soak.

Just be sure to follow the recommended essential oil dilution directions. Undiluted essential oils shouldn't be added directly to bathwater or to your skin.

A Little Cozy Challenge

Choose one little thing that makes your evening feel cozy.

It doesn't have to take much time, cost anything, or require extra preparation.

And if the evening doesn't go according to plan? Maybe the unexpected moments will turn out to be the best part.

I'd love to hear what makes an evening feel cozy to you.

Until next time,

Myra πŸ’œ

Hey There! I'm Myra.

Born and raised a Southern girl, I am a Christian and blessed to be married to my high school sweetheart. We have 2 daughters, 2 sons, 2 dogs and 2 cats. We built our family through birth and by way of adoption. And yes my house is full and so is my heart! But enough about me, let’s talk about you. My favorite thing to do is encourage ladies around me to live their best life by finding positive and uplifting things to focus on, giving tips on things that have worked for our family, and sharing new things I find along the way. If that sounds like something you like too or something you need in your life, why don’t you stick around a while? I’d love to show you how to make Everyday Beautiful!

What about...... Wednesday! Making Ordinary Days Feel a Little More Special πŸ‚ Yesterday, my sister sent me something that made me laugh. It said, "Even my downtime has a to-do list." 🀣 Apparently, she knows me pretty well! But it also got me thinking. The last few months have been so busy that I realized I haven't been taking much time to enjoy some of the little things I love. I enjoy reading, spending time outside, reaching out to family and friends, and just sitting quietly for a few...
